On our Facebook page (@Premiere Emcee, LLC), we searched around for couples who had gotten engaged in 2015/2016 season and did it in the best way. Engagement season is such amazing time to watch two people who genuinely love each other decide to want to live there lives together forever. This Story of Aida and Chris is remarkable one and stands out above them all. Their proposal included a Scavenger hunt which left the Future Bride in awe. Surely a moment the both of them and their family will never forget. It is clear this future groom is creative and passionate about his display of affection for his future wife. These two are the example that no matter the circumstance there isn't anything that will stand in the way of fulling your life's destiny with the one you truly love. Allow us to introduce Chris and Aida, be sure to congratulate them.
"When I woke up on the day of November 21st, I had no idea that I would be living a real fairytale. From the moment I woke up, I was on a scavenger hunt which consisted of breakfast, a full body massage, a mani and pedi and an appointment to the hairdresser. Every stop had a gift, a rose and a card and each card led me to the next destination. When I arrived home, an outfit was laid out on the bed for me with a ride waiting outside. The driver took me to Pasta Cosi restaurant where both our parents and children met me on the sidewalk each handing me a rose. As I walked into the restaurant, there he was, the love of my life, with a microphone in his hand singing “Wale- Matrimony.” He handed me my last card while down on one knee, the card read “Will you be mine forever?” Now I am excited to be spending the rest of my life with my very own Prince Charming." -Aida On our Instagram page (@Premiere_Emcee), we searched couples who had gotten engaged in 2015/2016 and did it in the best way. Engagement season is such amazing time to watch two people who genuinely love each other decide to want to live there lives together forever. This Story of Charisse and Leonard is amazing one. Their proposal included family from all over which made it even more special. Their Love is a true testament that True Love exist and can come at the most unusual time. Allow us to introduce Charisse and Leonard, be sure to congratulate them. "On a day that we all reflect & give thanks, I have even more of a reason to give God thanks daily; my bestfriend/lover/my everything I could ask for in a future wife has accepted my proposal - she said Yes!! Thank you for showing me what love looks/sounds/feels like -my one true&only. I Love you baby! #futureMr&MrsBurke #staytunedforthedate" "it all took place at Charisse's aunts house on thanksgiving; my immediate family, her closest friends, and cousins/aunts/uncles who she hadn't seen in years were in attendance. The catch of the day was that everyone knew that I was popping the question since July of 2015, when I got the blessing from her parents. Before everyone eats her family has a tradition of everyone telling what they're thankful for (mind you, there's a good 50 of us there) The plan that I arranged with her parents was that I would go last. I expected it to go according to the plan we came up with a week prior, but her father decided to switch it up on the fly; Charisse, who was already a bit suspicious of my (ill deny it until the day I die) nervous behavior, her father goes "... We're gonna go around the room like we always do... And then Leo will have something to say...) my face dropped like, and I was like this just got real. We go around the room, and finally it's my turn. I start to speak, and had a few things that I had planned on saying... But ask me how smooth the words came out, not in the least bit; emotions took over and I could barely get a word out, let alone fighting back the tears as the words came out. Her Uncle Travis, even came out and said "...say it with your chest man!!!" that when I gave up talking and let my actions do the rest got down on one knee with the ring box in hand.... At this point tears are running down her face and mine, and is when i asked and she said Yes." Engagement season is such amazing time to watch two people who genuinely love each other decide to want to live there lives together forever. This Story of Brandy and Jermaine is unlike any other. Their commitment to each other speaks volumes and will most certainly stand the test of time. Allow us to introduce Brandy and Jermaine, be sure to congratulate them. "So this was my thanksgiving!! He asked, I said yes!!! #teamwilliams"
"It happened on thanksgiving, he flew his mother up from Jamaica to be part of this big moment for us. He surprised me because after we prayed over the dinner we started making plates but everyone decided to gather for a group picture. He then had pulled me to the center, expressed his feelings and proposed. Of course I was beyond excited and told him I'd take his hand in marriage." It doesn’t matter where you are on this earth, 9 out of 10 people are most likely on their phones at thisVERY MOMENT. Just take a look around you! At the restaurant, behind the driver’s seat, walking down the street. I’ve even found myself cringing at people who whip out their cell phones during church service trying to video Deacon Jenkins doing his holy ghost dance for a shot at 5 minutes of Facebook fame.
I’m not judging but, I think cell phone situation at weddings have gotten out of control. Whether it’s the bride walking down the aisle, the first kiss or the jumping of the broom, somebody is bound to jack up the moment. If your guests are taking pictures at the same time as your professional photographer, that can ruin your pro pics. I’m not planning a wedding, but if I were, I don’t think I could do a complete ‘CELL PHONE BAN’. Aint nobody trying to be on superstar status like that. However, I think the following are some pretty decent suggestions that may minimize cell phone usage during your ceremony (and will prevent people from getting cursed out by the bride): Put a note in your wedding program. Something like this: “We ask you to kindly turn off your ringers during the wedding ceremony and refrain from taking photos. We have professional photographers on hand to capture all the special moments and be will excited to share those photos with you.” Ask your officiant to make an announcement. Something like this: “The bride and groom have respectfully asked me to ask you to put your phones and cameras away. Sit back and enjoy the ceremony!” or “Ladies and gentlemen, prior to wedding take-off, all seat backs and tray tables must be in their upright and locked positions, all bags properly stowed, and all portable electronic devices turned off and stowed. This includes cell phones and cameras.” Ask your DJ or your wedding coordinator to make a public announcement. Something like this: “Ladies and gentlemen, please put down your cell phones and join the bride and groom for their first dance. Let’s leave the picture taking to the professionals! Facebook and Twitter aint going nowhere!” Create signage for your reception. Something like this: “When posting selfies from today, don’t foWe encourage you to share your selfies with #kimandrorywedding. (We will NOT be responsible for any drunk pics, though.) Please refrain from posting photos of the bride and groom on social media.” Do you care about people using their cell phones at your wedding? Is it just me? I feel like when guests are constantly uploading pics or tweeting, they’re missing out on the wedding itself. And that really sucks. Let your comment below. #engaged #2015" "On August 24th, 2014 Giovanni asked me to be his girlfriend. It was a relationship that grew from a friendship. Once we made it official we knew we wanted to be together forever. He was working at Mendenhall inn and they were having a fancy New Year's Eve party. I had picked out three shorter dresses to wear, but at the last minute changed my mind and decided to wear my senior prom dress (from 2006). My prom dress was at my parents house 30 minutes away but Giovanni said he would take me to get it. My mom helped me get dressed in my bedroom while Giovanni was asking my fathers permission to ask me to marry him (I had no idea). We got to the event late and sat down for dinner. One of the waiters brought me a beautiful arrangement of white roses. Giovanni set this up, but he usually does things like this so I didn't think anything of it. After everyone was done celebrating the new year the dj called Giovanni to the dj booth. At this point I knew what was going to happen, but was in complete shock. Giovanni is so shy and this was so out of his element. He took the microphone, bent down on one knee with the most beautiful ring I've ever seen in hand, and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes, and the dj played my favorite song, all you need is love by the Beatles. Now we're planning the wedding of our dreams!"
